DemDaily: TIME’s 100: The World’s Most Influential People!

May 9, 2025

Time Magazine published its iconic annual 100 Most Influential People edition, revealing an inspiring, remarkable and somewhat controversial mix of political leaders, CEOs, activists, and artists that, in 2025, span 32 countries.

Notably, the list features six members of Trump’s administration, 16 corporate executives, and nine justice advocates. The youngest on the list is 22-year-old Olympic swimmer Léon Marchand, and the oldest is 84-year-old Nobel laureate and interim Bangladeshi leader Muhammad Yunus.

The list, first published in 1999, was born from debate among American academics, politicians, and journalists about individuals who truly change the world, regardless of the consequences of their actions.

The nominations come from Time 100 alumni and the magazine's international writing staff, and the final 100 is decided by Time editors.
