We are now halfway through the "off-year" elections, with both 2021 Governors' races and the New York primary elections behind us.

However, in addition to four more special elections for US congressional seats, there are still half of the approximately 550 mayoral elections up in 2021, as well as other municipal and local elections in cities and towns across the US.

2021 Election Calendar
July 27Texas' 6th Congressional District Special Election General for the seat held by Congressman Ronald Wright (R), who passed away in February after contracting the coronavirus. Susan Wright and Jack Ellzey, both Republicans, are in the special runoff, so control of the seat will not change party hands.

August 3: Ohio's 11th Congressional District Special Election Primary for the seat vacated by Congresswoman Marcia Fudge (D) to become Housing & Urban Development Secretary.
August 3Ohio's 15th Congressional District Special Election Primary to replace retiring Congressman Steve Stivers (R), who left to become CEO of Ohio's Chamber of Commerce.

August 3: Detroit, Michigan Mayoral Primary
August 3: Lansing, Michigan Mayoral Primary
August 3: Seattle, Washington Mayoral Primary
