DemDaily: No Kings Saturday! What You Need to Know
March 27, 2026
On Saturday, March 28, millions of people across the nation will rise up, united in protest of President Donald Trump's escalating authoritarian regime -- to remind him and the world that America has no thrones, no crowns, and No Kings!
The dire state of the union demands no less.
This is a battle cry. We are not watching history -- we are making it. Join us.
No Kings mobilization will take place in more than 3,300 communities nationwide in what promises to be the largest single day of nonviolent protest in American history -- with more than 10 million people participating.
"No Kings" is not just a rebellion; it is a movement -- building on over a dozen nationwide mass protests and hundreds of smaller demonstrations in which courageous Americans have taken to the streets to reject Trump's assault on our democracy.
Protests will take place in small towns and big cities, across blue states, red states, in every corner of our United States, and in dozens of countries globally.
Trump is ruling through fear and violence -- sending militarized agents into our cities, terrorizing and illegally abducting immigrant families, arresting bystanders and demonstrators -- tragically killing over 55 of our neighbors since January 2025.
Silence is not an option. He must be held accountable.

The March 28 No Kings Day is mobilized by Indivisible, Public Citizen, MoveOn, ACLU, Common Cause, 5051 Movement, AFT, SEIU, NEA, Human Rights Campaign, Planned Parenthood, AFL-CIO, LCV and a coalition of more than 325 national and state partners, alliances, and unions that have come together to help organize the event and the resistance.
A core principle behind No Kings Day is a commitment to nonviolent action. All partners and event organizers have received training on protest preparation, how to de-escalate any potential confrontation and stay safe, and what their legal rights are as citizens and non-citizens.
This isn’t just politics. It’s democracy versus dictatorship. And together, we’re choosing democracy.
