DemDaily: Convention Night Three: A More Perfect Union. The LineUp!

August 19, 2020

Future First Lady Dr. Jill Biden (Click to Watch!)

Last night American met our future First Lady, Dr. Jill Biden, and it was a beautiful thing.

On the second night of the Democratic Party's "Uniting America" convention, Biden spoke directly to the people with a heartfelt and sincere appeal to "entrust this nation to Joe."

Against the backdrop of an empty classroom where she once taught, the accomplished educator, wife and mother shared her story and her unshakeable faith in her husband to heal a nation devastated by the crises in our country and in the White House.

"How do you make a broken family whole? The same way you make a nation whole. With love and understanding-and with small acts of compassion. With bravery. With unwavering faith." -- Jill Biden

Last Night's Roll Call across the country was a show topper (Click to Watch!)

In tonight's program, themed "A More Perfect Union," Americans will hear from 2016 Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, Former President Barack Obama, vice presidential nominee and Senator Kamala Harris, and many others who are committed to working alongside Joe Biden to achieve his goal of a more perfect union.

America is not going back to where it was before Donald Trump's mismanagement of the pandemic and subsequent economic crisis, because for too many people, that wasn't good enough. As he leads us out of crisis, Joe Biden will help build back better. He will also have a historic partner in these efforts -- the first female vice president!

As with each of the four days of the 2020 Democratic Convention, the third day features programming, policy, caucus and allied events all day today, followed by the formal ceremonies tonight at 9:00pm ET.
