Asian-Americans & Pacific Islanders for Ralph Northam invite you to a public rally for increased civic engagement and voter participation across minority communities in Virginia.

What:     AAPI Rally for Ralph Northam for Governor

AAPI Voters
Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (AAPI) are the fastest growing minority group in the United States, today totaling more than 21 million.

AAPIs in Virginia now number half a million people, making up more than 10% of the population, and continue to be the fastest growing population in Virginia. In Fairfax County, AAPIs now account for over 20% of the population.

Nationwide AAPIs make up approximately 6% of the U.S. population. In the last three presidential election cycles, the number of AAPI registered voters grew by more than 600,000 each election, and the number of AAPI-eligible voters grew by more than 3.6 million overall.

Ralph Northam has served as Lieutenant Governor of Virginia since being elected in November of 2013 with 55% of the vote. He announced his bid November 17th, 2015 for Governor to succeed incumbent Governor Terry McAuliffe, who is term-limited. The Virginia primary election will take place on June 13, 2017.
