Convention Central: Truth to Power
Truth to Power will host an exciting list of events during the 2016 Democratic National Convention with the coolest mash up of art, pop culture and politics. We got some scoop from Wyatt Closs at Big Bowl of Ideas, one of the co-producers of the event, with TaskForce and Soze.
Truth to Power will present a dynamic and engaging pop-up art show, discussion salon, and performance space presented by Rock The Vote and #Cut50.
The event will occupy a 15,000 square foot space in Philly's Spring Garden neighborhood July 25th-27th and will focus on the civic engagement and value of young people speaking truth to power on key issues like Criminal Justice Reform, Immigration Reform, Economic Inequality, Education, Health Care Access, and Climate Change.
Truth to Power will bring together some of our nation's most prolific and talented visual artists, young activists, musicians, poets, policymakers and community leaders, feature hundreds of inspiring works of art and 25 hours of programming anchored by special guests like Van Jones, Rosario Dawson, Hill Harper and Aloe Blacc.
