Convention Central: Your Own Recovery Room

There will be over 400 events at the Democratic Convention from parties, concerts and high dollar elbow-rubbing, to delegation meetings, caucuses, policy forums and social justice rallies.
Many of the organizations attending will be there to bring attention to their cause or mission, and the needs of the diverse constituency of the Democratic party and working people's agenda at the convention.
One organization, Facing Addiction, plans to host convention events which address the recent crisis of drug and alcohol addiction that has affected so many in our society in recent years.
Facing Addiction is a national non-profit organization dedicated to finding solutions to the addiction crisis by unifying the voice of over 45 million Americans and their families directly impacted by addiction.
Facing Addiction will be providing Recovery Wellness Rooms inside the Pennsylvania Convention Center (Room 109A) from Monday, July 25th-Thursday, July 28th throughout the Democratic Convention this year. Recovery Wellness rooms will be open 9am-5pm.
This space will be used for people in recovery to have a safe space to gather and support each other during convention week.  Scheduled daily recovery meetings at are 10am, Noon, 2pm and 4pm.

Recovery Wellness Rooms will be a valuable resource for convention participants.As a delegate I am proud the Democratic Party is working to promote recovery by providing a safe place for peers to meet up and support one another"

Facing Addiction is also working to make addiction a national priority at the Caucus to Face Addiction onTuesday, July 26th (1-3pm) which will highlight solutions and bring together delegates, special guests, experts and advocates.  The Caucus will be held at the Friends Center (1501 Arch Street, Race Room).
